All women are stars! Sometimes their lives are broken by
breast cancer.
The Flint Hills Rodeo
Association has joined the fight against breast
cancer.
We are having a Quilt-a-thon through the month of April to
create a king sized pink quilt in a broken star pattern.
The finished quilt will be given away through a drawing at the
Sunday June 8th performance of the Flint Hills Rodeo.
Tickets for the drawing will be available for a $5 suggested
donation.
To keep the money in the local
region, half of the proceeds will be given to the Morris County
Hospital fundraising efforts to purchase new mammography
equipment. The other half will be given to the Mid-Kansas
Susan G. Komen for the Cure, where 75% remains in their service
area for education and support and the remaining 25% goes to
research.
If you would like to join the
Quilt-a-thon, please download the
poster for more information. (pdf file requires the free
Adobe Acrobat Reader to view).
